Women’s Dinner
In November of 2013, the Women’s Center for Creative Work (WCCW) invited 50 women, which could each invite one guest, for a total of 100 women to join them in the Los Angeles Historic Park. I was fortunate to be a guest of a guest and was able to meet many amazing women that night. We were also able to tour the original Women’s House from the 1960’s where so many amazing women artists created works that would be added to the history books.
This was also a special occasion for myself personally, because this dinner was just a week before I was to fly home to Florida to be married. Gathering with a group of women artists, thinkers, administers, and general culture makers was such a grounding moment for me as a transplant artist in Los Angeles.
