Grant Award

I’ve just been awarded a NextGen Arts Award from the Center for Cultural Innovation for my role as an Arts Administrator. This grant will allow me to attend the national Creative Time Summit to learn about other organizations in the field, and to inform my artistic practice. This conference is the only conference of its kind, devoted to exploring the intersection of art-making and social justice, inviting the most innovative artists, activists, critics, writers, and curators to come together in New York. The conference will take place from October 25-26, 2013 in New York City, and I plan to use the knowledge learned from the summit to improve the organizational programming at Side Street Projects by making sure it stays relevant in the contemporary art world.
